RENFREWSHIRE Council leader Iain Nicolson has received a first-hand account of the work of City Gate Construction.

Councillor Nicolson stopped by the CGC stand at the recent Renfrewshire Chamber of Commerce business event held at the Lagoon Leisure Centre in Paisley.

He was accompanied by Chamber President Tom Johnston as he toured the various stands in a show of support for businesses from the local authority.

At the CGC stand he met Commercial Director Dave Palmer who briefed him on the ongoing success of the business both in Renfrewshire and across Britain.

CGC has, in recent years, expanded south of the border winning work across the length and breadth of Britain.

Dave Palmer said: “We were very pleased to welcome Councillor Nicolson and speak to him about the work we are doing. We were also able to explain the strong social justice approach of our business where we help communities wherever and whenever we can. This includes taking on apprentices and giving young people a flying start to their careers in construction.

“Congratulations must go to the entire Renfrewshire Chamber of Commerce team for a hugely-successful business event.”
