London Stock Exchange reveals its list of best performing businesses
July 12 2019
City Gate Construction has been named as one of Britain’s top 1000 companies by the London Stock Exchange for the second time in 2 years.
CGC was listed among the top UK firms described by the stock exchange group as the most “dynamic and fastest-growing companies”
The news was revealed in the stock exchange’s newly-published “1000 Companies to Inspire Britain 2019” list.
The endorsement is proof of the rapid UK growth the Company has enjoyed as we win new work both north and south of the border.
This is further enhanced by a presence south of the border in Lancashire, West Yorkshire and also in London.
Gary Tracey, Finance Director, said: “This is another piece of good news for CGC. We are delighted to be included in this important listing by the London Stock Exchange Group and it reflects the significant expansion we have enjoyed across the UK.”
The stock exchange announcement said: “1000 Companies to Inspire Britain 2019 is the Stock Exchange Group’s celebration of some of the fastest-growing and most dynamic small and medium-sized enterprises in the UK and Europe.”
Commenting on the listing, Philip Hammond MP, Chancellor of the Exchequer, said: “Small businesses not only generate over 50% of all private sector turnover in the UK, they also account for 60% of all UK private sector employment. They are the backbone of the UK economy and we are dedicated to supporting these high growth companies to achieve their potential. I congratulate all the companies that are included in this year’s 1000 Companies to Inspire Britain report.”
